Our Philosophy
Life is a journey - so they say... One that can be travelled in companionship with something that is greater than you, that exists in all things as all things through all things. This invisible energetic lifeforce that we 'live move and have our being in' is ever available if we so choose to acknolwedge it.... and when we do... our lives are never the same again.
I chose to be ordained as an interfaith/interspiritual minister, because I want to live and express a life where inclusivity is the norm and I see that transpiring only as we recognise what unifies instead of what divides us... especially when it comes to religion.
'Your Names are so many, and Your Forms are endless.'
There is only one religion - that is the Religion is Love....
There is only one language - that is the language of the Heart
There is only one Source - which is boundless, eternal, infinite, unfathonable to which we try to contain and label it in various names - God Almighty - Jehhovah - Yahwey - Allah - Bramha - Goddess, Adonai, Buddha nature, The Tao, The Universe, Christ, Mother/Father, to name but a few of the many titles we with our finite vocablary and limited expression try to label that which is infinite, limitless and all pervading Spirit, Energy, Light, and Life Force, that is in, through and as all things.
In these times more than ever, it is necessary to seek to be inclusive - honouring the unity, yet multiplicity that expresses as all things. To see beyond race, culture, creed or social back ground and realise that there is a Universal Presence that flows through ALL of creation and we do it a dis service when we judge one part to be better or superior to another. Fundamentally, all conscious beings seek the same experience in life - WHOLENESS... but since the dawn of creation we've argued and fought over whose God was bigger and better - when in truth if we stayed true to the principle that underlies most religions that God is Love and we practised that diligently our hearts would be cleansed of hatred, guilt, fear, misunderstanding and intolerance.
"... what are you looking for
has many names and one existence.
Don't search for one of the names.
Move beyond any attachment to names.
Every war and every conflict between human beings
has happened because of some disagreement about names.
It is such an unnecessary foolishness,
because just beyond arguing
there's a long table of companionship,
set waiting for us to sit down." Rumi
In this the 3rd Millenium - Mankind should truly be living up to it's title MAN - KIND instead of Man - cruel, intolerant and selfish.
I believe this can be achieved as we 1. Enlarge our concept of what we perceive 'God' to be and develop our own personal relationship with him/her/it. 2. We honour that Divinity in each other and all of creation.
This can be achieved by by accepting that we are a tri beings Physical, Mental Spiritual Expressions of the Divine with the same attributes - just as the properties of water from the ocean are the same whether contained in a glass or a swimming pool. Our purpose on this earth at this time is to be that place where the Divine shines and expressess through us, as us in each unique and individual way. " Nature never repeats herself, and the possibilities of one human soul will never be found in another" Elizabeth Cady Stanton
It's time to take responsibility for our Spiritual Growth and unfoldment, no longer is it excuseable to blame organised religion as not satisfying your needs because you don't believe in their doctrines, there has never been a better time to access information on all things Spiritual.
I believe that the time is Now, for if not now, when will we step up to be the expressions of the Divine - to that end I do not say that you have to believe or accept anything that I write or say, but you can prove and validate it for yourself if you follow the directions implicitly. For if you're baking a cake and do not follow the recipe precisely then you cannot expect to get the same results as someone who has.
Religion is not an end in itself. One's union with God is the ultimate goal. There are so many religions because immature people tend to emphasize trivial differences instead of important likenesses. Differences between faiths lie in creeds and rituals rather than religious principles.
How diverse the many paths seem to be at times, but do they not all come together eventually upon the same mountaintop? Are they not all striving for the same thing? If you are guided toward a faith, use it as a stepping stone to God, not as a barrier between yourself and God's other children or as a tower to hold you aloft from others. If you are not guided toward a faith (or even if you are) seek God in the silence -- seek within.
When we attempt to isolate another we only isolate ourselves. We are all God's children and there are no favorites. God is revealed to all who seek; God speaks to all who will listen. Be still and know God. Peace Pilgrim
These are extraodinary times we live in, and we need to do our part in realising the need to respect and to co exist not only with with each other but also this wonderful world in which we live. As we see 'brotherhood' as the norm then and only then shall we establish Peace on earth.
